Elite Model - Beautiful Melody

It’s so refreshing when you meet a model - especially one at Melody’s level - who is as beautiful inside as out. Had so much fun taking these images and a big thank you to Melody for spending the day with the Pixel Chicks in the non-heated plantation house on one of the coldest days Georgia has seen in…. how long? Anyway, speaking of cold, my hands can barely type! Starbucks - please, no air conditioner in the winter!

I’m signing off and hitting the gym - wish you all a wonderful, relaxing weekend!

ps - this is my friend Cindy’s daughter - obviously beauty runs in the family (and that’s inside and out for all of them…never met a sweeter group of kids who love each other equally and without hesitation)

What Have U Done This Morning?

I flew to Georgia and took these pictures. Just kidding. Seriously though, I have to share this with someone because it feels soooo good to get all these things off my ever-growing “To-Do” list. So, I woke up and from then until now this has all been accomplished, as in finished, as in, off the list!

  1. kids up, breakfast, lunches, school
  2. City Hall for a new stash of blue recycle bags
  3. drop off overdue movies (sorry Blockbuster, we stink at 2 day rental returns - I’m mean, let’s get real…)
  4. stop at the UPS store, wrapped up to two packages and sent them out
  5. hand deliver a contract and payment for an ad I’m getting ready to run
  6. Lowe’s to make a return, purchase a few items and leave a trail of drool in a few asisles (didn’t say this was all going to be pretty)
  7. home for 20 minutes to edit…
  8. dash to the gym to make a 10:10 gravity class with the coolest butt-kicker I’ve met at my gym and who totally inspires and is one of the few people who’s actually motivated me to leave my editing and actually go to the gym for me time (story about that later and how I seriously believe God places people in our lives right when we need them)
  9. swift and much needed runby through Starbucks for a little latte-grande-Thursday-love
  10. grocery store to pickup some much needed groceries that missed the list the first time around (don’t ya just hate it when that happens - well, especially if you’re like me and you can’t stand grocery shopping to begin with UNLESS it’s Whole Foods…but I digress, again, more on that later)
  11. and voila! here I am, groceries unpacked, chilled latte (okay, all things can’t be good at all times) in hand, writing you…

So, what have you done this morning? Bring it sister!

Okay, seriously - on to other topics or rather, things - still sharing some images from Georgia because I have tons of fun images to post.  When I say we lived with our cameras in hand, it’s really no exaggeration.  Here are some of my chicks (aka: the Pixel Chicks) taken at Davis Plantation. Hope y’all are having a wonderful week - mine has been slow to pick up but is feeling sunny (literally) today! :)

my beautiful friend Julie who has the sweetest smile, kickin style and a mind for organization and business I’d like to duplicate…

and my friend Alli who I hope one day will see herself in the same beautiful light as we see her and who’s skills blow me away…

and my colorful friend Candy who tells it as it is, has a contagious laugh and really beautiful hair, I might mention… :)

the tools, the tools!

ms megan getting beautified by the fabulous ms stephanie…

my friend Megan who inspires me with her worldly travels and tales and her beautiful, open take on life…and whose beauty and style shine like a warm, sunny day…

that’s it for today. off to pick up children…

The Davis Plantation, Georgia

So, I’m finally getting around to editing some images from my trip to GA which I’ll be sharing over the next few days. I thought I’d start by sharing some of the historic plantation my friend Cindy, using her beautiful smile and inherent sweetness, secured for us for several hours on Saturday (oh yeah, which also happened to be the bizarre freezing day in GA where it later snowed that night! The plantation obviously had no heat. It’s a funny thing though when you’re doing something you love heart and soul, nothing else matters and truly, for the most part, we were oblivious (except for my friend Megan who was the subject of a boudoir session - burrrr!! total sport, that girl :)). And someone correct me if I’m wrong - girls who went to GA - but I remember it being like 15 that day?) Anyway, this house was amazing with a capital A.

As we were all setting up and Megan was getting her makeup and hair done, I wandered and took some images throughout. Granted, I was shooting at an ISO I’ve never even touched on my camera, and for good reason - can you say grain galore? But nevertheless, for posterity’s sake, I like them. I will say - I don’t know how old this plantation is only that it’s old. When I was wandering upstairs by my lonely, I got some odd vibes - not bad, just those I suppose you’d feel in a house with so much history. Needless to say, I didn’t wander alone for long.

But alas, per usual, I ramble, ramble, ramble so here they are … :)

I spy! Julie and Alli taking their own shots as I shot them…yes, we’re goofy.

Julie taking some images of Alli…

When was the last time you saw a silver plated phone??

the charm welder, my sweet friend Cindy…

because I wasn’t feeling quite cold enough, I thought I’d stand around outside and take some images just to make sure I felt the entire freeze through my bones. :) took this one right before I asked gorgeous Melody (will be sharing those in a few days) to stand outside for a few shots.

yes, we love the cold…Julie striking a pose with her cute self outside before we got the in car and cranked up the HEAT! Stay tuned beautiful people, more to come… have a FABULOUS (I’m so not a Legally Blond girl but I do find that word popping up on my lips frequently as of late) Wednesday!

Calendar Girls: Bras 4 a Cause, Day 4 continued…

Just a quick post this morning - have a full couple of days coming up but wanted to share some of the last images from Day 4 of our shoot. Our final shoot day is this Saturday. I am going to be so sad!

This was our last shoot of the day and one I had been looking forward to - all of these beautiful ladies are breast cancer survivors. What a special photo op and one I was so excited to be a part of. And wow the attention this Model T (is that right?) (and models) received - we had a few fans stopping to take pictures.

we got in on the fun too..Tess, our makeup artist (headband and glasses) cracks me up - the girl has style. :) love ya Tess! You have completely rocked this entire project - thank you!

Valentine’s Session Sneak Peek

These are proving to be some of my favorite sessions. I’ve already mentioned how much I love Valentine’s Day but to photograph women with a glamorous feel in images meant for the person they love…well, that’s just cool. I’m always excited to celebrate people and what makes them uniquely beautiful so I’m having an especially fabulous time with these. In any case, here are a few from a recent session…

Oh, and I should mention, if you missed this special, check it out here. We still have 2 spots open before Valentine’s Day!
