Sneak Peek: Christmas Cutie

Seriously hard to figure out what pictures to share from this session when there were so many cute ones. Mom Sarah once again totally and completely rocked the outfits and her little man could not have been a better baby. I mean, he let us play for two hours! True, we were making a bit of a ruckus at the end to try to grab his attention :) but even then he really showed very little annoyance, more just a desire to be set free from the studio so he could properly explore. In any case, check out the Christmas cutie!

would you look at those little toes!

Yo Mama!

This is just for fun - every year I do pictures of my mom and her husband Don for their Christmas cards. Usually, it’s quick and chaotic, fit in between visits and this and that and this year, I have to say, was no exception. We literally had maybe 10 minutes of good light and - uh hum- “someone” wasn’t exactly being the best listener - “someone” was being a jokster and having a little too much fun while I kind of frantically tried to hold the light and get a few shots.  I think I need a bullhorn. Maybe then my voice would carry a little more weight. :)

Overdue Sneak Peek: Family Session

One of the things I absolutely love about this season is usually my family asks me to photograph them for Christmas photos; but, I’ve never photographed my brother-n-law and his family (well, one of my BILs - I married into the big family I always dreamed of, lucky me  - and double lucky because they’re truly the sweetest, funniest group of people). Anyway, not only was this my first time photographing them but it was their first family photo in - 8 years? And wow has a lot happened in that time…let’s see, child #1 gets married, child #2 comes back from mission, falls in love and gets married, child #1 and spouse have grandchild #1…you can see why they were way overdue for a family session. And special on top of special, this is infact the same BIL mentioned in the post below who is doing amazingly good post-surgery as told to me by Des, who you may also recognize as our Studio Manager…yep, we keep it in the the fam! :)

Anyway, here are my beautiful peeps! Thanks for being SO patient with me you guys!

I love it when people play along with me even if it’s totally goofy! Check out little man Cooper Pooper…even he was gettin down with his goofy self.

Since the boys were featured in an earlier post, I’m posting one extra of the girls because they’re so beautiful and I can’t pick which one I like better!

This seems to be my litany lately - “rain, rain go away!” - Yep, once again, it got us. But we perservered! Ha! Take that drippy skies! :)

My absolute FAV image…they met when they were 15 years old (? something close) and this is them today…suffice to say, several years later….this is something to aspire to. :)

Off the Grid

Just popping in to say hello to all and apologize for dropping the blog this past week…this is our busiest time of year, this year being no exception, which is an amazing blessing. But it’s hard to keep up on posts! I’m working on it! The last two days I was on a commerical shoot for a project I’m SO SO SO excited about and am absolutely busting at the seams to share…but I need to get to editing and am going to hold out until I have the images to go with the story. Suffice to say, I think you’ll be inspired, not only by the story but hopefully by the images.

Okay, who wakes up at 6:00 on a Sunday unless it’s with a mission so off I go - coffee and editing!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!

Special Request #1029

Okay, I don’t really know the number but I feel like I ask a lot…and not to hog the blog, ya know - everyone is welcome to email special requests for peeps they love.

I’m actually editing this session as I write…of my brother-n-law with his children and their families…but today my BIL (center) is having surgery that comes with some pretty scary risks so - any special thoughts headed his way would be way appreciated! And this is him with his son-n-laws showing how much they LOVE picture time!! LOL :) I don’t really know what the occasion was for the beautiful faces but they crack me up nevertheless.
